Beautiful Vintage Bathroom by Perry Michael Reinstein

What happens when you’re creating an amazing bathroom for a customer? They begin planning the next job even before you finish the first! Well this is what happened with Kathy Z of Elwood, NY. While completing a truly beautiful bathroom for daughters, she decided that since her master bath had a few problems, it was time to give it a makeover. The real problems with the current bathroom were the shower was falling apart from poor workmanship and the existing tub had issues with mold in the plumbing. So after meeting with Designer Perry Michael Reinstein, CKD of Evo Design Center, and explaining her problems and desires, they set out to give the room a real “vintage” and “classy” feel with a little touch of today. After reviewing many photos and product choices, Reinstein came up with a plan to remove the large tub platform and install a fabulous soaking tub. “For the shower, we used unique shower door hardware that gives a contemporary take on the vintage look,” says Perry Michael, “Then we used starphire glass which is almost perfectly clear to the striking Metallic Gold glass tile or the polished nickel fixtures.” Perry Michael then designed a beautiful vanity using Evo Design Center’s Versailles Custom Cabinetry in a custom color to blend well with the tile that was chosen. “Using the appealing Bursa Beige basket weave flooring bordered with a White Thassos mosaic, the Metallic Gold glass tile just blended perfectly with the vanity and polished nickel fixtures,” says Perry Michael. To top things off, using Schonbek lighting fixtures really made this bathroom radiate a beautiful glow of elegance and gives this bathroom its virtuous vintage feel.
